LARGO, FL, April 30, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Children of God for Life announced today the stunning news that PepsiCo will not use aborted fetal cell line HEK-293 (human embryonic kidney) in their contractual agreement with Senomyx to develop flavor enhancers for their beverages.
Good. I’m happy with that. I’ve been boycotting anything to do with Pepsi. Not that I go near anything Pepsi all that much. It’s just that I do remember living on Mountain Dew when I was a kid, especially when I needed to be on edge while doing grounds-crew work at the highschool for a summer job. I did that job in an extreme-sports fashion, mowing 45 degree sloped hills on a rider-mower, one hand on the steering wheel, one foot on the mowing deck, and otherwise hanging way off the side in mid-air, balancing the whole roaring chaos with debris flying everywhere. I thought that the usual strap-on 3 1/2 horse-power gas engine weed-eater was for wimps compared to extreme sport mowing.
“When I became a man, I put aside childish ways” (1 Cor 13,11).
Now I do extreme-sport chainsawing. I’d put up a picture — you know the one — but it seems that some people find that offensive! Oh well. Extreme sports aren’t for everyone!
About advertisers: I got an email today from a crowd wanting to advertise on Holy Souls Hermitage. Couldn’t do it even if I wanted to. I can’t have anything for pay and can’t solicite donations. Those are the anti-Catholic rules under the Obama administration!

Accompany me, Father George David Byers, S.S.L., S.T.D., as I begin life as a Catholic Priest-Hermit by choice. Holy Souls Hermitage is dedicated to the sanctification of my fellow priests, bishops, deacons & seminarians going through the purgatory of this life or the next. Prayer and sacrifice go up, of course, for both Benedict XVI and the next Successor of Saint Peter.
