A jaunt into town, and what did I see? Thank you!

The Cherokee spoke of the clouds shimmering like blue smoke clinging to these mountains. Thus, their names: The Great Smokey Mountains or The Blue Ridge Mountains:

The mail box sported a happy anniversary of ordination card with an image (very thoughtful indeed) of the Holy Family going off into exile. Thank you C.W.! Note the palace of Herod, this particular one to the south of Bethlehem, exactly what the Holy Family would have seen fleeing Herod into Egypt:

C.W. also had two Masses offered for me. Very, very kind of you. May the Lord reward you.

There was also a package from sent from the Vatican, from the good Tyburn nuns: Some amices, corporals, purificators and finger towels, and… and… a gorgeous chalice veil, just in time for green. The roughness of the cross against the glory of the background reminds one of the conversation at the transfiguration of Jesus, which was about the cross!

The good nuns also had Masses offered for this most unworthy of all hermits. May the Lord reward you eternally!

And there was a package from C.W. The Verizon signal repeater! So, getting closer to providing the Holy Souls Hermitage Homily Series… But… sigh… The inside broadcaster was not in the box. I called them up and they easily admitted the mistake and apologized. It should be here by this time next week.

I had been expecting some candles from Tonini for more than two months. So I rang them up and they also easily admitted the mistake, and will be sending them out soon. I should be getting them in a couple of weeks.

I also dumped off the compost bins at the soup kitchen and grabbed some supplies. What a very friendly crowd!

Thanks, everyone. I still have more thanksgivings to put up. I haven’t forgotten! Patience!

May the Lord continue to bless you all abundantly according to the perfect intercession of the Immaculate Conception. Prayers and blessings!
