There are those wonderful readers or those who have only recently stumbled upon the blog, who ask how it is that they can force a non-solicited donation on the hermitage. One way, if you are in the USA, is to make out a check to GEORGE DAVID BYERS.
GEORGE DAVID BYERS
102 COLLEGE STATION DRIVE
SUITE 3, PMB 233
BREVARD, N.C. 28712 U.S.A.
If it is a care package or something from Amazon.com, etc., and you need to enter a phone number on the form, use that of the U.P.S. Store (United Postal Service Store), in Brevard, N.C., U.S.A., which is my shipping address: (828) 883-4701. That’s not my personal phone number!!!
Note that sometimes people see my address as 100 College Station Drive. That’s incorrect. It’s 102, as in the address above.
Should you wish to see what I’m reminding myself to get, see my Amazon wishlist:
(1) Click on the wishlist logo to the left. That will take you to the generic Amazon Wishlist page.
(2) Type ” Byers George D ” in the “Find someone’s list” box. Yikes!
P.S. Many are amused at my protestations against such unsolicited gifts to the hermitage. Some few troublemakers are quite upset with me, saying that I am solliciting donations by throwing tantrums against receiving donations, saying that I should insult people by not accepting graciously what they offer. But I see no reason in the law why I should insult anyone. Why, you might ask, is this the way it is? Because, for logistics out of my hands altogether, the hermitage cannot get a 501(c)3 even if I wanted one. Perhaps that will change in the future. Meanwhile, I wouldn’t want that under the Obamacare politbureau, which demands that if Iwere a non-profit, I would have to pay into the abortifacient super-fund by way of Obamacare mandated insurance. Aint’ gonna happen with this hermit. So, no paypal button is possible. North Carolina forbids the solicitation of donations by those without a federal 501(c)3. Nor can I set up a business, such as selling books on lulu, or collecting royalties from mainstream publishers. That puts me in an impossible position. But, that’s O.K. The Lord knows all this.

Accompany me, Father George David Byers, S.S.L., S.T.D., as I begin life as a Catholic Priest-Hermit by choice. Holy Souls Hermitage is dedicated to the sanctification of my fellow priests, bishops, deacons & seminarians going through the purgatory of this life or the next. Prayer and sacrifice go up, of course, for both Benedict XVI and the next Successor of Saint Peter.

Help, the address in Amazon is 100 College Station, the one above is 102 College Station. Which is correct?
102 College Station Drive
Suite 3 — PMB 233
Brevard, NC 28712
I edited the address but I’m not sure if it worked. Let me know. Yikes!
OK thank you, the Daily Roman Missal is on the way.
Great! Thank you, Carla. I just got word today from a great priest who wants to visit. It will get here before he comes. So, perfect! Prayers and blessings.
Prayers please for the 2 very young (33 yrs old) and very holy priests in my parish. They they came last year and already built new confessionals, increased confession times to 15 hrs per week, and increased daily mass to 3x/day, to include 2 latin masses.
Carla: Send me their names at holysoulshermitage using gmail dot com. See:
