   Thanks for the QUICK update, Father.

   I was able to scoff dismissively at my colleagues who ran (or called, emailed, etc.) to my office elated to have a piece of real news to deliver.

   Father George, the suspense is killing me! I think of you often, and I am glad that your blog exists as a sort of spiritual direction.

   I can’t really explain to other Mormons exactly why the pope is so important, but he really is. I just don’t have the words to explain exactly why. You know what I mean?

   Fr. Reed on catholictv.com said that was the blackest smoke he’s ever seen. And it was.
