If you have any fear of dogs you will NOT want to continue reading. After this little taste, mayhem ensues. You’ve been warned. I know that a certain seminarian reading this blog has a fear of dogs. So, I hide the rest of this post as a courtesy. If you have a fear of dogs, do NOT click on “continue reading”
O.K. Here’s the rest of the story:
And:
Laudie may be cute, but you want to stay on her good side. Come to think of it, she only has a good side.

Accompany me, Father George David Byers, S.S.L., S.T.D., as I begin life as a Catholic Priest-Hermit by choice. Holy Souls Hermitage is dedicated to the sanctification of my fellow priests, bishops, deacons & seminarians going through the purgatory of this life or the next. Prayer and sacrifice go up, of course, for both Benedict XVI and the next Successor of Saint Peter.

Well done! Looks like Laudie enjoyed Thansgiving! I suspwect you both did.
Thank you, Jesus for a wonderful day.
How sweet! Dogs are the best friends anyone could ever have. But I was scared of them like your seminarian friend when I was a child. Maybe Laudie could change his mind.
A mangy old dog named Ginger changed my mind about dogs forever and for better when I was in high school. Since then I have rescued many sweet, wonderful dogs. Mostly elderly dogs whom I can offer a sort of retirement pension.
What’s the story of how you got Laudie & why you named her that?
Jennifer: She adopted me, coming to the hermitage on top of the ridge. It looked like she had been shot. She had mange. Was full of fleas. Not spayed. Shaking with fear. I can’t imagine what had happened to her. I was happy to give her a safe haven.
