Thanks to Benefactors! (and… and…)

  • Thanks go to S.R. who sent in some Mass intentions, a couple of Masses each for some priests who are “all alive and kicking!!” — L.M ., O.P. — P.K., O.P. — J.Z., O.C.D.
  • Thanks go to F.G. for the book Healing Fire From Frozen Earth by Father Paul Glynn. A Book about Lourdes written relatively recently. Father Paul is now at my old stomping grounds at Good Shepherd Seminary, which is the major seminary of the Archdiocese of Sydney. Bishop Porteus, still there, had invited me to teach there many years ago. F.G. is a good friend hailing back to my time in Australia. We have many common friends. F.G. says he especially likes the last two chapters of the book, so I’ll have to get to those first!
  • Thanks go to T.M.B. for the book Hungry Souls by Gerard J.M. van den Aardweg.
  • Thanks go to anonymous for the 2013 Liturgical Ordo for the Extraordinary Form and FSSP Directory.

If I’ve missed anyone, let me know. Things have been pretty topsyturvy lately. I pray for ye all!

May the Lord Jesus continue to bless you all abundantly according to the perfect intercession of the Immaculate Conception.

Steven, by the way, sent in a special request, saying he wants a special post for some things he up to, but I think he always does better when I put in just the tiniest note on one of my benefactor posts. I mentioned to Steven some months ago that he would do well to get the orphanage transferred to his own diocese under the aegis of the bishop. He’s working on that. Also, the National Youth Director is now appraising his work to the end of getting it some official status. I told him that that would go a long way in getting donations.

Meanwhile, however, Steven has some special projects going on that are worth noting for benefectors. Even while the Church is set to be persecuted here, it is beginning to thrive in Uganda. Here, with a Yikes!

  1. Thank you Father for letting benefactors out there know about our cause.

As a prayer request, our foster daughter got involved in some car accident this evening as she was on her way from school. As I write, my wife is with her in hospital getting checks. When I saw her, she a small wound on the head, and was bleeding on the arm.
Pray with us that she will be fine.

  2. To the above poster, I will pray for your wife.
