Patriotism is a virtue. When times are tough the virtuous get tougher.
I found my flag and put it up. I’ll have to look up flag etiquette.
But can one really be patriotic when the whole country seems to be going to hell?
Yes, and that is our way to get to heaven: love of God and neighbor: patriotism.

I think I mentioned something about doing some Spring cleaning last year at about this time. Somewhat belated. But now I have some energy, finally, after last week’s intensity at the beginning of the week. This will include some grading of courses for a certain seminarian we all know.

Accompany me, Father George David Byers, S.S.L., S.T.D., as I begin life as a Catholic Priest-Hermit by choice. Holy Souls Hermitage is dedicated to the sanctification of my fellow priests, bishops, deacons & seminarians going through the purgatory of this life or the next. Prayer and sacrifice go up, of course, for both Benedict XVI and the next Successor of Saint Peter.

God bless Philip. We will keep praying for him!
God bless you Father, though my husband and I are planning on flying our flag upside down…sign of life-threatening distress. I can’t imagine a more apt time.
Dun dun dun. Good luck, PGJ!
I should probably be doing some fall spring cleaning as well….
