So, O.K., I discovered the flash function on the camera for the ad orientem pictures. The tabernacle may be shiny, and there may be a sanctuary lamp, but… but… I’m still thinking of making the exterior veil for the tabernacle. The interior veil is beautifully appropriate.
Perhaps because I used the flash you notice that not all candles are created equal in their beeswax content!
At any rate, this is one happy hermit! How could one not have a bit of beatitude, what with the ferocious http://holysoulshermitage.com beatitude series widget on the sidebar of the blog?

Accompany me, Father George David Byers, S.S.L., S.T.D., as I begin life as a Catholic Priest-Hermit by choice. Holy Souls Hermitage is dedicated to the sanctification of my fellow priests, bishops, deacons & seminarians going through the purgatory of this life or the next. Prayer and sacrifice go up, of course, for both Benedict XVI and the next Successor of Saint Peter.

That looks beautiful, Father!
