Dozens of names of those with autism have been added to the side bar widget of the HSH blog. Go the Mary Ann’s page on the ongoing novena to Saint Philomena here, and then… and then… go HERE for info on the 3rd annual 54 Day International Rosary Novena for the Healing of Autism. That’s HERE!
If you know anyone who has autism, and want to add his or her first name to the list, go to that page on the ongoing novena to Saint Philomena for info on the rules of how to email Mary Ann about this.
Mary Ann is emphatic that I’m not on the spectrum. Another Australian and good friend insists that I am. Hah!

Accompany me, Father George David Byers, S.S.L., S.T.D., as I begin life as a Catholic Priest-Hermit by choice. Holy Souls Hermitage is dedicated to the sanctification of my fellow priests, bishops, deacons & seminarians going through the purgatory of this life or the next. Prayer and sacrifice go up, of course, for both Benedict XVI and the next Successor of Saint Peter.

I say the Rosary every day and will include this for Autism also.
Father could you pray and offer sacrifice for my addicted son. He is at wits end right now-very serious. I as his mother have been praying so long I don’t know where to turn.I’m poor at fasting.
You have a link to the Pontifical Oriental Institute but clicking on it takes you not there but to the (British) Open University. I have come across this before on other websites but have no idea how or why it happens. And if you are wondering why anyone would want to link to the Orientale, my friend, indeed distant relation, Fr Clarence Gallagher SJ, was rettore magnifico (as Blessed JPII always called him) circa 1990-95.
Hello Barbara: Let’s also ask all our readers to help out with your son.
Hello Hugh: Thanks for that. Link updated. There are others I know I have to update as well. I have that link up, and some others, mostly for reasons of friendship with various profs, some of whom have already passed away. Indeed, your comment brings back a flood of memories. Yikes!
