Father Gordon MacRae’s note to Our Sunday Visitor

It is utmost sorrow that I read today of John Norton’s departure from Our Sunday Visitor. He has been described to me as “one of the best editors in the Catholic press today.”  I have come to agree with that assessment.

It is also with utter dismay that I have read about the treatment of Father Benedict Groeschel at EWTN and the NC Register. In fact, I just read the Sept. 23 issue of NC Register and there is not a single mention of the story of Father Groeschel’s demise at EWTN.  I urge OSV not to take that same route, but to cover both sides of the story, and to do it courageously without worrying what SNAP and VOTF might think. I have written a blog post about this situation entitled “Father Benedict Groeschel at EWTN:  Time for a Moment of Truth.”
With thanks and blessings,
Father Gordon MacRae (about)

One Response to Father Gordon MacRae’s note to Our Sunday Visitor

Thank you Father Gordon for writing this, and Father Byers for printing this. He is 100% correct in what he said and I await the response of OSV. Is there no one out there who dares to speak the truth? face up? be compassionate and loving as is Our Lord Jesus Christ
who makes His Body and Blood available to us sinners
