It is utmost sorrow that I read today of John Norton’s departure from Our Sunday Visitor. He has been described to me as “one of the best editors in the Catholic press today.” I have come to agree with that assessment.
It is also with utter dismay that I have read about the treatment of Father Benedict Groeschel at EWTN and the NC Register.In fact, I just read the Sept. 23 issue of NC Register and there is not a single mention of the story of Father Groeschel’s demise at EWTN. I urge OSV not to take that same route, but to cover both sides of the story, and to do it courageously without worrying what SNAP and VOTF might think.
