I’m going to try to do some email work with some free bandwidth in town today, going back in the emails a very long time indeed! No, I haven’t forgotten you. It’s just that the internet connection is so very bad. But that may be in the process of being fixed. I’ll check on that today too, the Lord willing. I thank those of you who have also offered to help with the getting the internet up and running project. Very kind of you.
Meanwhile, life goes on. I’ll see if I can’t get the chainsaw back this week so as to start collecting some wood for the Winter. It’s already been in the mid-fifties at night, reminding me that a cold winter would be quite brutal indeed. Perhaps this week I’ll also try to get AAA to tow Jenny the Jeep to town. She’s in worse shape than I thought.
And did I mention that in another few days, there may be some chicks running about at the hermitage? But they have to survive another few days… There are only eight of the original dozen left. The shells are very fragile.

Accompany me, Father George David Byers, S.S.L., S.T.D., as I begin life as a Catholic Priest-Hermit by choice. Holy Souls Hermitage is dedicated to the sanctification of my fellow priests, bishops, deacons & seminarians going through the purgatory of this life or the next. Prayer and sacrifice go up, of course, for both Benedict XVI and the next Successor of Saint Peter.

Hey Father,
I have family in your area, so if you need help, they would be happy to come out and help you anyway they can.
God Bless,
Michael
Thanks, Michael. We’ll see what happens!
