The Vatican Widget arrives at Holy Souls Hermitage. We’re official!

So, there we have it. Unfortunately, there is no way to use javascript on WordPress.com, which is hosting HolySoulsHermitage.com. Only HTML is allowed. Unless one of you readers who is a WordPress.com wizard has a workaround for this. But I’m not holding my breath. It would be cool to have it up and running just above Jenny the Jeep on the sidebar…

Of course, Holy Souls Hermitage was vetted for this, so that’s kind of like a nihil obstat and an imprimatur, right? Well, not exactly. It is what it is. Maybe that makes me eligible for future Vatican blognics with the Holy Father! Yikes! Well, maybe not. Maybe if I were to in Rome, I could just go.

Suggestion: If anyone does have a workaround, or a way to do what they do with a widget but using only HTML code, that would be very helpful to pass on to them. Send it to me to test! Does anyone have, for instance, HTML code that can be used for something simpler, like a headline scroller widget? That would work, and would open Vatican.va to a gazillion more sites. Anyone want to give that a shot?

  1. I think this must mean the the Holy Father reads your blog! Yikes! ;-o)

  2. I think he did read of bit of my work on Genesis 2,4–3,24, as He kindly sent a note about some issues in it.

There may be a post or two coming up, please God, which will get his attention!

    Saint Michael the archangel…

    Yikes!

  3. Mother M.L

    Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!

It is great that the Holy Father sees and reads what is going on around the world in the Church, including the injustices that falsely accused priests like Fr. Gordon MacRae are suffering from, in canonical processes and in the hands of their local Bishops and officials.

Do keep on writing the truth and let it be known to all!
