[Click to enlarge.] These are cloistered Benedictine Nuns. Being Benedictines, they might not appreciate my analogy so very much, but I compare this crowd to Saint Teresa of Avila, a Carmelite! Zero fear to be faithful to the Lord and to the authoritative Magisterium of the Church.
Whenever our Lord finds such faithfulness (and that is not so very frequent right around the world, I’m afraid), He provides even more circumstances that will enable even more growth in His friendship and yet more opportunities to witness to the Lord’s truth and charity.
The good nuns have been through the furnace of the Lord’s charity, and are seven times refined. I’m so very happy they’re praying for me! They have a wonderful vocation at the heart of the Church, at the Sacred Heart of the Church, and are dragging many souls to heaven, and I think mine included. I am in humble thanksgiving mode.

Accompany me, Father George David Byers, S.S.L., S.T.D., as I begin life as a Catholic Priest-Hermit by choice. Holy Souls Hermitage is dedicated to the sanctification of my fellow priests, bishops, deacons & seminarians going through the purgatory of this life or the next. Prayer and sacrifice go up, of course, for both Benedict XVI and the next Successor of Saint Peter.
